Sistrade® ERP in Port Wines industry.
Symington family is involved in Port wine industry for over 100 years. Apart from producing Port Wine, like Graham's, Warre's, Dow's, the company also produces Douro table wines such as Tinta Roriz, Touriga Francesa, etc. A recent investment was the production of Madeira wine, Blandy's.
Recently its interests have expanded, investing in new technologies to become more productive and competitive. Thus, Symington purchased at SISTRADE a production control system.
During the first phase the company will implement Sistrade® ERP Shop Floor Control powered by Data Acquisition System. With these modules, Symington gets a real-time graphical monitoring of production as well as bottling orders taking place in various production lines. All this is performed with the help of a system of data collection based in manufacturing and automation terminals.
