SECURITY PRINTING

VALORA, S.A. is the only company responsible for printing banknotes fully owned by the Bank of Portugal. Since 1999, it has been operating on the premises of the Bank of Portugal in Carregado, where it began its manufacturing activity. Specializing in the production of the allocated part of euro banknotes for the Bank of Portugal, VALORA follows strict quality, environmental, occupational health and safety and physical process and product safety standards. These standards are in line with the requirements established by the European Central Bank for the production of euro banknotes. VALORA's integrated management system covers the production of banknotes and is certified according to international standards for quality (ISO 9001), environment (ISO 14001), occupational health and safety (ISO 45001), and anti-corruption management systems (ISO 37001).

With a focus on process precision and security, the collaboration with Sistrade strengthens VALORA's position, setting new standards of excellence in the Security Printing industry.

The implementation of the project includes all the main modules of the Sistrade software, such as commercial management, production management and data collection, planning, stock management and purchasing, quality control and equipment maintenance, as well as the financial area and human resources management. With the availability of various functionalities specifically developed for the banknote production process, VALORA has access to all the information on the production process and the complete traceability of each banknote produced there.
